I remember when I was stationed in Millington, TN. I could not wait to get out of there... I missed the ocean so bad! I am glad to be in San Diego now though. 3 more years and I will be a free man!!!

Yeah, i hear ya... I was in Millington for a couple years.. I remember, I could not wait to get out of there. Glad to hear you are in a better place. Good luck on your 3 remaining years!

I am being transfered back to Hawaii! I will get alot of ocean there! Has anybody been to Hawaii? What fun things did you find there? Let me know. Thanks. ~ Greg

Greg,
We were stationed in Hawaii for seven years and my husband's family is from Maui. There is so much to do in Hawaii. On Oahu, I would have to say that my most favorite thing to do is to hike Makapu'u. If you go during migration season, especially February, you can watch the whales.
My favorite "romantic" place to have dinner is Haleiwa Joe's in Haiku Plantation. You can not beat the serene view, great food and helpful wait staff.
